各位,
With much less than three months before Devcon, we move at full speed to Osaka!
You will hear about the first programming details and more in the coming days, and with the current tickets, we thought it was time for a more formal update!
First, the wave 2 of ticket sales should temporarily scheduled on August 6. We learned and corrected a lot after the last round. We used a new open source ticket platform this year, and although the platform itself has worked admirably, we did not understand everything on our configurations for the first production execution. With a higher online allowance and a refined payment process, we hope everyone is experiencing a fluid purchasing process in wave 2.
A change has also been made this year to limit tickets to two by order rather than one, so even if we expect that Devcon is selling, those who are online in time can reserve a space for colleagues, Friends or family.
Then, if you had a brilliant idea for a Devcon conversation the day after the bids closure, you are lucky.
Applications have reopened today, and they will be available on Devcon.org for a week, July 29 to August 4. This applies to manufacturers and speakers of any kind (breakout, workshop or presenter) and students. Scholarship requests have been completely closed.
For speakers, this second window was planned with you in mind. We are aware of the speed at which things can develop in the Ethereum ecosystem, and we did not want to miss recent discoveries!
Finally, all Devcon applications are examined on a rolling basis. The application process is designed to be fair and complete. Each request is examined by at least two people, before a final decision was made by the Core Devcon Planning team. We believe that it is really important to have a system in place which guarantees that there is no unique reviewer who decides the fate of an application – and who takes time.
Although not all candidates are informed immediately, everyone will receive a decision in mid -August – including those who apply in the application window (July 29 to August 4) – to ensure that everyone received an opinion before the wave final post (in the event that participation in the wave is necessary to attend Devcon). So, if you have already submitted a discussion proposal, it is not necessary to do more.
Tl; DR: Vague 2 is temporarily scheduled for August 6. The pages of request for speaker, manufacturer and student are in place Devcon.org From July 29 to August 4. After that, they left and they will not come back!
Each day brings us closer to Osaka, and we look forward to having the same in the Ethereum together family. We wish you the best chance with all applications and ticket office, and hope to see you.
🦄
