In a remarkably short period of time, organizations from all sectors have deployed artificial intelligence (AI) to make decisions that affect the daily life of people. Since AI can be characterized as “a mirror that brings us back our prejudices and moral defects”, this practice sometimes leads to unhappy, even tragic errors. And prejudices are only one of the many reasons why AI is considered a “black box” with a confidence problem. Last year, Pew Research revealed that 52 % of Americans are more concerned than enthusiastic by AI in everyday life, against only 10 % who say they are more excited than worried.
