Hello world!
Welcome to the new Ethereum.org.
It is the beginning of the revival Ethereum.org, not the end. As explained in more detail below, the new website is intentionally work in progress. It is launched as an experience, intended to grow and iterate in public because it is improved by the community – just like Ethereum.
Three basic principles
As we have progressed towards a revival of Ethereum.orgWe were guided by three basic principles:
1 and 1 Ethereum.org is a portal of community resources
One of the greatest forces of Ethereum is its massive decentralized community. In recent years, the community has intensified to create invaluable resources: documentation, wikis, newsletters, tutorials, discussion forums, etc.
The goal of Ethereum.org is to be a portal for these resources, not a substitute for them. Ethereum.org will favor the link with the content created by the community, instead of hosting native content on each subject. Thanks to community contributions, the website will evolve over time to always surface the best relevant equipment on Ethereum.
2 Built at the opening, with the help of the community
Ethereum.org recovery as MVP, and the design intentionally evokes a simple virgin slate. We want your help to update and improve it over time – consult the Contributor guide or the list of Open problems If you want to start.
Right now, there are only four sub-pages ((Beginners,, To use,, LearnAnd Build) But we plan to add new ones over time. We are also expected to ask for the submissions of the community for the overhaul of whole sub -pages – Stay listening for more details on how to get involved.
The dominant characteristic of the destination page is a large image of “hero” style, and the current presence is only temporary. We plan to change it regularly because we receive community bids, turning art over time. If you want to submit a new hero image design, contact us to sitee@ethereum.org.
Do you want to know more? Head to Github and read the Contributor guide.
3 and 3 Not your typical product website
Ethereum is the largest open source blockchain community in the world. The development of basic technology is distributed in many different organizations, and the network is used live in production to obtain billions of dollars in digital assets and another precious state. Ethereum is the most mature and widely used programmable blockchain in the world.
Ethereum is different and Ethereum.org should also be different. It will never be a typical product website, because it is not trying to sell you something. It is a website for a community that is busy getting things done: the integration of new developers and users, to educate us and to educate each other and to build.
THANKS!
If you have been in Ethereum for some time, you know that Ethereum.org has long need an update.
But this delay had a silver lining: the Ethereum community has taken responsibility for creating and maintaining documentation, community learning resources and educational material – while integrating new users and developers. If you have played a role in these efforts over the years: thank you.
We hope that the revival of Ethereum.org as an open-source portal to the community will continue this important trend. In the end, there is no better way to represent Ethereum in the world than to keep this spirit of decentralization and independence.
