Sam Bankman’s parents are looking for a presidential grace of Donald Trump, according to a Bloomberg report.
The professors of Stanford’s law faculty, Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried, would have had discussions with lawyers and individuals in the Trump network on the Clemence for their son, who serves a 25 -year sentence for fraud.
It is not clear if they have made direct contact with the White House, according to the report.
The thrust for leniency follows the recent forgiveness of Trump from the founder of Silk Road, Ross Ulbricht, who drew the attention of defendants in white collar.
Bankman Fried, a former adult of political donor, supervises his case around the allegations of excessive sentence, noting that the FTX customers have recovered most of their funds.
