Rootstock is designed to put an end to Bitcoin’s “isolation” of other channels.
Lowerzero, the bridging protocol which allows different Crypto networks to communicate with each other, plans to connect to Bitcoin Sidechain Rootstock in what would be its first integration with the original blockchain of the world.
Rootstock aims to put an end to the “isolation” of Bitcoin of other blockchains because of its lack of native intelligent contracts, a barrier that Layerzero is able to address, according to an ad sent by E-mail shared with Coindesk on TK.
The Bitcoin blockchain does not have the functionality to offer intelligent contracts that other blockchains have and which are fundamental decentralized financing services (DEFI).
This lack of disposition for Defi on Bitcoin, which has more value than all the other combined blockchain, is an obstacle to even greater adoption. This encourages developers to seek ways to draw on massive liquidity that is maintained from Bitcoin (BTC) and to allow it to be filled with the world of cryptography.
With the connection between Rootstock and Layerzero, the developers would be able to create applications on Bitcoin Sidechain which can communicate with the more than 100 other blockchains, including Ethereum and Solana, said Rootstock in the ad.
