Coingecko, a renowned chain platform allowing Crypto users to view the best cryptocurrency and non-fondestable token prices live, crypto and NFT, market capitalization and trading volume, has launched a new tool allowing users to protect themselves from cryptography and non-fascinable carpet. In this article, we will explore this new crypto token and non -bubilible token in detail.

Coingecko launches a carpet traction detector tool

In a blog post of June 18, the Coingecko team confirmed through their Geckoterminal X account that they unveiled a tool helping users of cryptographic and non -bubilible tokens avoid becoming victims of carpet firing attacks. Coingecko is a Crypto data aggregator providing a fundamental analysis of the digital currency market. In addition to following the price, volume and market capitalization, Coingecko follows community growth, open-source code development, major events and chain metrics.

The Coingecko team announced for the first time the new anti-rugpull tool earlier this year. A “carpet traction” in the NFT space is a scam where the developers abandon a project after having attracted investments, often disappearing with investor funds. This leaves investors with tokens or unanswered parts and significant financial losses. The term comes from the phrase “pulling the carpet under someone”, letting them blocked.

Since 2021, the assessment of the exact number of NFT parts launched is difficult, but the estimates suggest that millions of new cryptographic tokens have been created, including many NFT linked. The reports indicate that the number of pieces of Crypto and non-Bobilible tokens has increased considerably since 2021, with more than half a million new tokens created in 2024 only.

In addition, the total number of Crypto and NFT parts listed on platforms like Geckoterminal has climbed more than 7 million since 2021. Unfortunately, many Crypto and NFT parts have increased to almost zero value. In most cases, most of the founders of Crypto and NFT projects seem authentic, but find themselves as a roaring investors who drain the funds. In response to Rugpull’s increased incidents, Geckoterminal has created a tool helping users to detect potential rugpulls.

How does the carpet traction detector work work?

The Coigecko team has launched a new dashboard tool allowing users to use bubbles on geckoterminal to avoid the next carpet traction. Bubblemaps visualizes tokens distributions and wallet connections, helping you quickly locating the power concentration, wallet clusters and suspicious activity on the chain. To access this tool, users must search for a geckoterminal token and click on the “Bubblemaps” tab.

What does a healthy bubble look like?

In a healthy bubble map, users must take note of well -distributed tokens assets on many wallets, no dominant clusters or whale concentrations and an organic and dispersed distribution model. On the other hand, red flags to monitor a potential carpet traction include large bubbles, more price control, potential cryptographic wallet behavior and uneven distribution with concentrated assets.
