We are now less than 60 days from Devcon and we wanted to provide important updates and additional details on how to obtain the remaining Devcon tickets for all those who wish to join us in Osaka.
First, book the date: The third wave of sales of Devcon tickets will take place on Thursday August 15 at 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 am he / 3:00 pm CEST / 22h00 JST on Devcon.org!
Once this wave is finished, a few other methods will be available to claim a pass.
Regarding the request for tickets, it is important to note (as mentioned above) that more than two thirds of Devcon tickets are either at a reduced price or free, and intended for manufacturers and students, among other groups. The remaining tickets are sold via a series of “waves” accessible to the public, which took place quickly.
That said, we also think that we can do more to give the general public the chance to attend. Thus, after wave 3, there will be a few other ways to obtain your ticket for Devcon, some of which are experimental and use the Ethereum network.
More specifically, we will offer the possibility of buying Devcon tickets apart from a wave by allocating remaining tickets in three different ways: via a chain drawing, a chain auction for the benefit of a program of extended grants and a final call cycle. More information on each of these ticketing processes will be detailed following sales of wave 3.
